Noise ColorFit NAV Smartwatch Review India
Made-in-India brand ‘Noise’ calls its first-ever GPS-enabled smartwatch – ColorFit NAV – their best offering till date.
With a slick design, commendable battery life and excellent fitness tracking functionalities, the watch could be your best buy on a low budget.
It has 10 workout modes and can track your steps, calories burnt, distance covered, or your active time. Having ten workout modes on a smartwatch with valuable activity data at a price of just under Rs.5000 is quite impressive.
At this price point, it offers all the basic features and functionalities you would want from an affordable smartwatch – and that’s why we expect this smartwatch to pose a tough competition to others on the market, at least by its affordability.
Design and Display
On its first look, the Noise ColorFit NAV looks decent and polished for an entry-level smartwatch and at this aggressive price point. It is available in two vibrant colours – Camo Green and Stealth Black.
At a glance, the stylish square dial with bold and bright display may appear like an Apple Watch (and that’s a bonus).
It comes with a Touchscreen that is wide enough for comfortable swiping and daily use.
Noise has given an oleophobic coating on top of the smartwatch which makes it smudge-resistant and protects the screen from everyday use.
It has a 22mm silicone strap that is tough enough but not very comfortable on the wrist. Thankfully, you can remove it and use any third-party strap for more style and comfort.
The watch weighs just around 40gm with a polycarbonate case material which makes it lightweight.
Coming to its display, the Noise ColorFit NAV sports a 1.4-inch TFT LCD display with 320 x 320 pixels resolution.
The oleophobic coating does not hinder the clarity; in fact, the colour display is bright and crisp.
The sunlight legibility and the viewing angles are also good. What we liked most is the watch lets you customize font sizes displayed on the screen.
Overall, the design and display of the Noise ColorFit NAV smartwatch is impressive.
Noise ColorFit NAV Smartwatch Key Features
A good thing about the ColorFit NAV smartwatch is you will get a range of basic features right onto your wrist.
It has IP68 water-resistance rating and can withstand a maximum depth of up to 1.5 metres under the water for 30 minutes. However, Noise does not recommend it wearing during swimming, in sauna or in the ocean water.
The band is also resistant to dirt, dust and sand.
To get started, you need to download and install the NoiseFit X app on your Smartphone device and pair it with the watch.
It has built-in GPS and 6-axis sensor that can track your pace and distance with more accuracy.
There is 3-axis gyroscope sensor and 3-axis accelerometer sensor, and also features Bluetooth 4.2 that lets you easily connect the watch to iOS or Android devices.
The smartwatch does not provide always-on-display mode but you can easily set it to turn on the display whenever you lift the hand. The screen automatically turns off after some time to save more power.
You can choose from 12 watch faces but only a few are likable.
Preset SMS Reply is another feature that you may like on this pocket-friendly Noise watch. It lets you send a preset message while rejecting calls from the smartwatch.
The “Find My Phone” feature also works good but it must always be connected to your Smartphone.
Some notable features include –
- Low Battery Reminder
- Sedentary Reminder
- Weather Forecast
- Alarm & Stopwatch
- Wrist Orientation
- Do not Disturb
- Wake Gesture.
Remote Music Control enables you to listen to your favorite tracks while doing your daily activities.
A good thing about the watch is it takes a minimalist approach. It does not confuse you with too many options and buttons. There is only one home screen button and one back button. The tactile feel and built of the buttons are excellent.
Performance
The watch is powered by Noise’s proprietary OS and delivers smooth performance with no lags. Even when you are tracking your sleep or activities, you will find no big issues.
Built-in GPS allows you to track sports in real-time and with more accuracy.
You can sync your data or register using Google Account. It also lets you watch videos, read FAQs about the watch, set daily fitness goals, register for warranty, etc.
Noise ColorFit NAV Fitness Tracking
Fitness tracking and health monitoring are perhaps one of the best things we liked most about this watch.
The watch has 10 workout modes – walking, indoor running, indoor cycling, badminton, yoga, outdoor walking, outdoor running, outdoor cycling, strength training, and dance.
For real-time tracking, it uses GPS technology, advanced sensors and route map visualization.
Optical heart rate sensor at the back of the watch allows you to monitor your heart rate during activities, while the breathe mode allows you to simply relax when the heart rate goes up.
Sleep tracking using the smartwatch is also found to be near accurate.
Battery Life
The device comes with a 180mAh battery which renders about 4 days of backup on a single charge and up to 30 days standby.
If you keep all notifications off, the battery will last for about 6 days and still you can run the GPS and track your sleep or steps.
The battery takes around 1 hour to get fully charged. It uses a 5V-1A charger; alternatively, you can also charge it via a USB port from your PC or laptop.
Conclusion:
If you are not ready to shell out much money for a smartwatch or simply want a basic one, the Noise ColorFit NAV is a good choice.
It has a good display and several fitness models are water-resistant and have impressive battery life.
Though it does not offer anything beyond the basic smartwatch features, it is worth considering for its price, looks and performance.
